Aromatic plant that is widely cultivated in the Mediterranean countries, both for its essential oil and for therapeutic purposes. The smell and taste of lavender is wonderful, but its magic is hidden in the wide variety of benefits it has for our health.

Its antioxidant components can affect the endocrine system by reducing the levels of stress hormones in the body. It is a sedative for nervousness, anxiety and nausea. It also helps with sleep problems.

It has an analgesic effect on the skin, which helps relieve pain, but it is the antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that make it very effective for use on wounds, stings and burns.

Consumption of lavender as a tea can help with digestive problems such as vomiting, nausea, flatulence, stomach upset and bloating.

In addition to helping with digestive problems, lavender is used to help relieve pain from headaches, sprains, toothaches and sores. It can also be used to prevent hair loss.

To make an infusion, place 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb in a tea infuser or teapot or mug for each cup of tea you intend to brew. Cover with boiling water.
