Milk thistle is an herbal remedy derived from the milk thistle plant, also known as Silybum marianum. The active ingredients in milk thistle are a group of plant compounds collectively known as silymarin. The silymarin is known to have antioxidant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.

You can eat the fresh ground seeds, You can grind them as needed ( use a coffee grinder to make them into a coarse powder). Ground milk thistle: It can be sprinkled with sandwiches, added to flour, from which bread is baked. It also goes well with milk meals, vegetable salads, soups and sauces. Decoction: In a pot, bring 3 cups of cold water, 3-4 teaspoons of the MILK THISTLE to a simmer. Gently decoct (simmer) for 30 minutes. Strain out herbs and return liquid to pot. Drink 1-3 cups of tea a day.
