White Mulberry is used in its different parts. The fruit is eaten as a food and has many health benefits namely as an anti-oxident, and in the prevention of heart disease.

The white mulberry is high in vitamin C, iron, potassium and magnesium. The active phytochemical in White Mulberry is resveratrol, this is also found in red wine grapes. It is thought to improve endurance, and to act as an anti-coagulant.

The diverse range of active compounds and volatile acids in these berries give them anti-inflammatory properties.

eating white mulberries can help to lower total overall cholesterol levels while elevating HDL levels, which are the “good” fats.

This plant is perhaps best known for its effects on diabetes; the active ingredient in white mulberry, commonly referred to as DNJ, is able to shut down or slow down sugar processing in the body, resulting in more manageable blood sugar levels.

Mulberries can be eaten as a snack, or they can be added to other fruits and seeds as a trail mix. They make excellent additions to cereal or muesli, or as a topping to a desert of fruit and yogurt.
Not enough is known about the use of white mulberry during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use. White mulberry might lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
